For my friend......

Hello to all on this damp Monday morning! I hope you are well & enjoyed your weekend?! Myself, I had a (sorry for this....) housework weekend. Hubby went off up a mountain with some work friends.....literally lol. For fun they decided to have a 'team building' exercise by walking up Mount Tryfan. Now I can think of better things to do for fun but oh well....& when I told Hubby that I'd walked up the same mountain as part of my DofE Gold when I was 16 my answer was....'yes but you didn't climb the difficult route!'......bless him!
So a spring clean took place at home.

Anyway back to crafting. Above we have a card I made for my friend who's birthday was last week. Again I've used some of my gorgeous goddies from Cass & Vicki, mmwah ladies.
Papers BoBunny, image Miss Anya coloured with......you guessed it yummy Copics, stamped sentiment.
I was going to attempt a bit of altered art too, however the box which I was going to alter is now in the possession of my eldest as a storage box for his 'Match Attax' Swaps. Because they fit perfectly!!!

Thanks for popping by.

Just for you.....

The weekend again.......yay!!! However, as good as this four day week was I was totally thrown by the end of it. Friday felt like Thursday, Thursday felt like Wednesday....you get the picture lol.
Oh well, only two more weeks & its school hols again. This one I'm looking forward to, not to sure about the next one though, especially when I realised that the boys will be at home for seven weeks this summer! Seven weeks......arrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!
So to this card. Here we have a lil card I made the other day for one of my friends. Again I used some of the gorgeous goodies I received for my birthday from Vicki & Cass. Image Miss Anya, coloured with my Copics. Papers all BoBunny & computer generated sentiment.
Thought I'd try a different shape for this one too.

As for our weekend, football, football, kiddie's birthday parties & football. I'm quickly getting the feeling that 'our' social lives are our boys social lives lol. Hope you have a fab weekend whatever you're up to!!!

Notice anything different?....

Hello all, I hope you are happy & well?!
No cards 'finished' at the moment to show you & with my intentions this morning to get them done, I got a little side tracked....lol.
You might have noticed that my blog is looking a tad different.....I got this 'Blog-In-A-Box' from Sweet Shoppe Designs a while back but never had the chance to do anything with it, until now! It hasn't quite gone to plan but it is a change. As yet I haven't decided if I like it or not, so next time you pop by it may well be different again.
Oh well, think I'll carry on with cards....or maybe I should do some of that housework stuff....mmmmmm

See you soon.

Not the nicest of cards....

Here is a card I made a while ago & forgot to pop on here. I made it for one of my Aunts who's Mom sadly passed away.
It's the first time I'd made a 'with sympathy' card & so wasn't to sure how to go about it, ie, colours, style etc..... I just wanted something to express that our thoughts were with her.

Pp's are Laura Ashley & Coordinations, sentiment stamped & embossed, lace, ribbon & eyelets from stash.
Bank holiday weekend again....yay! & so far so good with the weather, lets hope it lasts!!!
Whatever you are up to I hope you enjoy yourselves!

The sweetest flower.....

........kindness that is!
Hello to all on this fine Thursday, I hope you are keeping well!? Beautiful sunshine outside & a little warmth, funny how it makes you feel happier isn't it?!
OK then, this card. I have to say I enjoy making cards (else I wouldn't do it..lol) but this one I really enjoyed making. When I'd finished it my hubby saw it & commented "it's very you!" now I took that in the best way possible, as otherwise I could take it that he thinks I'm 'distressed & frayed at the edges!!!' lol!
The beautiful goodies I've used were mainly all from the fabby things Vicki & Cass sent me for my birthday a few weeks ago. (Huge hugs girlies!!) Papers are BoBunny which have had just the slightest of distressing lol, image one of the very beautiful Gorjuss girls, & a few bits'n'bobs from my stash.
The sentiment is a verse I found on the net, & I wanted to break it up so as it reads in different ways hence the lift up flap.
Image has been coloured with my yummy Copic Ciao's, which I'm still loving!!!! I think it's fab how you turn a white piece of card with a stamped image on into something totally different by adding a bit of colour. Can you tell how much I like these Copics?!.......lol!

Anyway, as its one of my friends birthdays is next week I think I'll give her this card & in the mean time doing this one has given me quite a few ideas for other cards I'm planning to make, I'll show you when they're done.
Many thanks for popping by & I hope to see you again soon.

Now for something 'grown up'.......

Hi all, I hope you are well, & 'truly' happy the the fab sunshine we're getting at the moment. Please let it stay, maybe til September time.........lol!
Now back to the daily routine of school run & ferrying the boys around to their various weekly activities, having had a fab time camping last week. Some how we managed to have mostly dry weather, one small downpour when we were on the beach one day but the kiddiwinks would have been happy to carry on with their castle building & cricket game! Roll on the next half term when we're off again, can't wait!!!

Here we have a card I made for one of my friends just before I went away. She sent me a message asking if I still made cards as she was trying to find something for her In-laws 45th Anniversary, with not much luck! So, showing her a Ruby card I'd made a while back I asked if something similar would suit......answer Yes!
Papers are all from a freebie download kit from Shabby Princess, ribbon, lace & buttons from my stash, verse from web. On the previous card I made I used a Wedding day piccie but my friend was unable to get one of her in-laws, so I found this copyright free image on the net & thought it would fit nicely.
As the title says, I see these kind of cards as 'grown up' probably because I don't make many like this but luckily my friend was pleased with the end result!
Oh well, I'd better go & finish the rest of my ironing..........the not nice part of going away!! lol

Bundle of joy freebie......

Hello on this sunny Saturday! (not going to emphasis the weather, just in case it changes...lol)

Here we have another of those doodles I've been popping on here this week. I have to say it is one of my fav's, simple & yet apt. Can't believe it was a year ago since I drew this one. The card that I used it on was for the lil cute fella whose cards I popped on a couple of weeks ago, where does the time go?!

Anyway, as with all of the other freebies if you would please respect my copyright & if you feel you can use any of them pop a message on for me, I'd love to have a nosey & see what fabby things you've done with them.

Well, back to the packing. Tent, sleeping bags & cooking equip are all sorted, so if I don't post before I'll 'see' you when I get back!

Rain, rain go away!!!......

"Rain, rain go away come again another day!!!"
Says it all really, sun doesn't seem to want to come out for us today however I've got my fingers, toes & anything else possible crossed that the weather will get better as we are off camping on Monday! I can hope.....lol.

Here we have a card I made last week for my Nephew Marshall who will be 6 on Saturday. At the moment he & the rest of Jools gang are having a fantastic time at Disney Florida. The boys didn't know they were going & when they were awoke early last Friday morning & were told, bearing in mind they were half asleep Marshall's reaction was " I don't want to go there, I want to go camping!"........lol, he soon changed his mind though!!!

Papers, lettering & elements are all from the same Sweet Shoppe Designs digi kit as before, 'Father knows best'. Image very kindly given to me & coloured with Copics.
Oh well, better get on with some washing & ironing.....grrrrr, my pet hate. I've a few more freebies to pop on so soon as I've sorted the next one out today or tomorrow I'll post it on here.
Bye for now, Kerry xxx

Wednesday 8 April 2009

Todays freebie.......

Happy sunny Wednesday to all!

Here's another of my dust laden doodles...lol. When I drew this one I thought he was quite cute but never got around to using him for some reason. So, again if anyone could make use of him feel free. All I ask is that you respect my copyright, thank you.

Today, I'm having a crafty day with my lil friend Holly who also chose 'bookworm' above to be the next freebie. I'll pop the results on of our crafting session at a later date.

Enjoy your day!

Present freebie......

Hello & happy Tuesday to you all!
Having a look through some of my doodles last night I realised there were a few I'd drawn some time back for myself, used them once & then forgotten about them. So, rather than have them using space up on my computer & doing nothing much else I thought it might be nice to pop a few more freebies on my blog. Hopefully others may be able to make use of them.
They are in the same style as the other freebies, cool dude & the couple.
Anyway, here's the first one & I'll pop the others on throughout the week.
As before, if you could just respect my copyright.

Happy crafting,
Kerry xxx

A couple of cards......

Here we have a card I made for a friend last week. Papers are all from a free digital download kit at Shabby Princess. Image was kindly given to me & I've coloured it in with my fabby Copics. Sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

This card was also for a friends birthday. Papers are from a digital kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs. Image was very kindly sent to me by Vicki & again has been coloured with ........you guessed it, Copics. Flowers have been punched & layered using silicone glue, to give dimension. Sentiment from Craftwork cards.
Hope you all had a great weekend & if this is the start of your Easter hols enjoy!!!!!

Saturday 4 April 2009

Thank yous!!!......

Hello to all, I hope you are enjoying your weekend?!
Well, what a busy week the last one has been but every bit enjoyable...lol. I've been crafting lots, the results of which I'll post at a later time but best of all Wednesday was my birthday......yay!!!!
Not sure how many more years will deserve a yay but for now I'll carry on saying it. At the grand old age of 34, (old being the operative word in the view of my youngest.....bless him!!?) I had a lovely day, & day after 'lunching' & 'dining' with friends. You can't beat it!

To my total surprise I had the pleasure of receiving a couple of parcels from my fabby crafty buddies Cass & Vicki. Huge thanks to them both for what can only be described as gorgeous cards & the most yummy goodies which they sent me. However how they expect me to cut up the papers I don't know........they're definitely the kind to look at, too pretty to even consider putting a craft knife to them.....lol!

Thank you Cass!!!!!!

Thank you Vicki!!!!!!

This was the gorgeous card I received from my sis-in-law Jools. The card itself so beautiful but inside an equally beautiful verse. Thank you Jools!!!!!!

And, last but by no means least was this very special card I received from my lil crafty friend Holly. You might remember I told you about her a few posts back when she had asked me to make 'a get better soon' card for her Mom. Bearing in mind she is only six, I think this is a fantastic card.
Well done Holly!!!!!!

Luv & hugs to you all!!!

Genuine boy........

Hi to all on this wet & windy Saturday! I hope the weather isn't dampening your day & you're enjoying whatever it is you're up to. Me, I'm enjoying a bit of crafting whilst I've got the chance but thought I'd pop this lil card on to show you.
Again I made this for the same cutie as with the last card but this one was from me & mine.

Image is one which I received from Michelle last year when she kindly organised a Secret Sister swap, Michelle being my SS. I've coloured him in with my Copics.....I just love using them!
All papers, embellies & lettering are from another digi kit I got from Sweet Shoppe Designs called 'Father knows best'. Again I fell in love with this kit as soon as I saw it, the denims, ginghams & various other patterns work so well together.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend & thanks for dropping by ttfn,

Happy 1st Birthday!!!......

......Alfie!!!!!!
This is a card I made recently for a lil cutie who will be one on Friday. My friend asked if I could make a card for Alfie from his big sisters, & this is what I came up with.
All papers, lettering & images are from a digital download kit "Sweet Safari" which is from Sweet Shoppe Designs. As soon as I saw it I loved it, its soooooo cute!
The letters & images have been double mounted onto thick card, to give the effect of chipboard & to add dimension.

My friend thought it was great but more importantly the girls liked it, so job done!!! lol.
And guess what????...........I think I just might have found my mojo.........hehe
Many thanks for popping by, Kerry xxx

Friday 20 March 2009

Get better soon!!!......

Here we have a card I made last week (which probably got the mojo kick started). This was for a very special request from my friend's lil girl.
Setting the scene, last week my friend went into hospital for an op. (of which all is now well on the mend) Her daughter who is six asked me if I could make a card for her Mom, explaining exactly what she wanted on it & drawing me a lil sketch of where it was to be! It has to be said she is a budding crafter herself & damn good too!!!
So this is what I did for her.

Papers, Laura Ashley & Coordinations, flowers punched & larger ones made with Craftwork Cards template. Alphas from a digital download kit from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I hope you all have a fab weekend & get the chance to enjoy the lovely weather!

Copics & Cards!!!.....

Hi there all, I hope you are well & enjoying this lovely weather we're having at the moment.......let's hope it can last as long as possible!
Many thanks to everyone who left comments on my last post, they really are most appreciated.

Well, I took myself off to the NEC at the weekend & Jools & myself wondered around the stalls trying to find yummy goodies. For anyone else who went I don't know if you felt the same but I was a little disappointed. Maybe it was just me but there didn't seem to be as many stalls, or should I say the ones which I was hoping for. That said I did manage to spend!
My best buy been a handful of Copics. I had had one for a while (which I received as part of a blog candy from Vicki) & kept meaning to get some more.

Having played with them since the weekend its now clear that I NEED to buy more.........lots more!!!! lol I love them.

So, needless to say I've been making cards......YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed making this card. The image was given to me in a RAK, PP's are from various digital downloads which I had printed out a while back, lace & eyelets are from stash. The ribbon was white & I've coloured with it with one of the Copics to match the image.

Again, this image was sent to me in a RAK & the ribbon started out white. It has had the same 'Copic' treatment to match the colours as used on the image.
I'm quite pleased with how the images have turned out but as with most new things think I need to practice. But, something tells me I'll enjoy doing so!

Over the next few days I'll pop a couple of other cards on that I've managed to do, & try to get round to some much needed & overdue blog hopping!
Bye for now, Kerry xxx

Not fallen off the edge of the earth!!!.....

Hello all, long time no post.....from me that is!!!
As the title says 'I haven't fallen off the edge of the earth!' lol, however crafting has of late. My mojo truly has left my building.

Having started the new year with good intentions & wanting to craft......I just haven't & to be honest I haven't wanted to! My things have all been packed up & put away & that's where they've stayed. I even toyed with the idea of getting rid, but decided that might be a little harsh....lol.
Think I'd got to a point where I was just fed up with crafting............there, that feels better now I've 'said' it.

I have been asked to make a few cards for friends of late so if I can manage to make them I'll pop them on &, I'm hoping that a trip to the NEC at the weekend will help.......well it's worth a try lol.

Thanks to the peeps who have asked where I am & my apologies for not visiting my fabby blogging buddies, as soon as I'm back into things I'll be popping by!

Hugs to all, Kerry xxx

Happy......happy........

......New Year to all!

.......Birthday, to Jools!

Hello there, thought I'd sit down for five minutes & pop a post on. Where has the time gone?!
I hope you all enjoyed the festive season & that Santa rewarded you for all of your good behaviour throughout last year.....lol

Thought I'd share some of my decorations with you, a lil late in showing but oh well. Now they're taken down though, I can't believe how bare the rooms look! Is it just me, or do others think the same about their rooms?!

Our tree which was in the dining room, also known as my craft room......lol.

Our living room fireplace decorated. (As I type now I'm sitting in front of this with the fire lit.........nice & toasty!)

Myself, I had a fab Christmas albeit hectic at times. The new year being no exception, again spending it with the 'family', ie. Jools & her gang. Lets just say we sang the new year in.........karaoke style. Hehe

The second of my 'happy's' is to Jools, who celebrates her birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
Below is the card I made for her,

Floral pp is K&Co, I have to say I love it! I did toy with the idea of using some sort of image but thought the pattern said enough. The center flower, I've cut & layered for dimension along with a touch of tearing & distressing. Sentiment stamped & ribbons, lace & eyelets from stash.

So, if you've managed to get to the end of this post, &, you're still awake Well Done!
My intentions for the new year are to get back into my crafting & blogging too, I feel I've neglected both of late & I'm looking forward to catching up on what everyone else has been upto. See you soon!!!!!!

Saturday 6 December 2008

Cool....Christmas Eve.....

Saturday wishes to you all.......said through coughs & sneezes. The dreaded cold bug seems to have gone through our house over the last couple of weeks, first hubby, then youngest, eldest & now me! However I'm being a typical Mom & getting on with it....none of this "man flu" rubbish lol. I NEED to be better, off to London on Tuesday for the day.....shopping & seeing Mamma Mia at the theater! Woo hoo, can't wait.

Anyway, here are two cards I've made for a friend, for her Sons. (Hope you like them Lisa?!...) The first one I've used pp from Sweet Shoppe Designs & Core'dinations cs, tree image one of my freebies & Harry image, (Started drawing this a while back but for some reason never finished him, but thought he would be ideal.) all coloured with watercolour pencils & clear embossed over.
Lil 'chocolate drops' from Craftwork cards & sentiment computer generated.

Each of the images have been mounted with silicone glue, to give dimension to the card.

For the second card I've used Shabby Princess pp's, Core'dinations cs, freebie tree, Harry & Snowman image, & again coloured with watercolour pencils & clear embossed over. And, as before lil 'holly berries' are from Craftwork cards, finishing off with a computer generated sentiment.

As you might be able to see, the backgrounds of my piccies are........my Christmas tree! You could say my arm was twisted into putting it up, or should I say the fact that hubby went & got it & all of the decorations out of the garage threatening to do it himself! Now for anyone who knows me, there is no way I'd let anyone else do it!!!..........lol
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend, bye for now.

Christmas dinner gift bags.......

Hello to all, I hope you are well & happy!

Thought I'd share a few things I've made, for Christmas day. One of mine & Jool's purchases at the craft show the other week was some lil gift/treat bags which I thought would be great with some choccies & sweets in.

These particular ones I have made to sit on the dining table when it has been transformed for Christmas dinner, acting as place cards & to give each of the 'diners' (oh...that sounds posh...lol) a few chocs & a small table present inside. They will be lil gifts from my boys.

For the images & scalloped edge I've used a template which was a magazine freebie a couple of months ago, then coloured them with my trusty watercolour pencils, finishing with just a touch of inking.....lol.
CS is all Bazzill & then ribbon added for fastening the bags. However when the boys fill the bags up I'll then close them with eyelets.

I'm quite pleased with how they've turned out, but as yet haven't decided if I'm going to keep the images at the top or reposition them in the middle of the bag itself.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Kerry xxx
